What Girl Scouts Earn

What do Girl Scouts earn when they reach certain levels during the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie Program? This section details the variety of ways Girl Scouts can be rewarded for their hard work this cookie season!

  • Girl Scouts can commemorate their cookie program participation and success with a combination of patches! Patches are earned even if a Girl Scout or troop chooses to opt-out of cumulative rewards. Check out this year’s patches on the Reward Panel and in Smart Cookies! 

  • Girl Scouts can earn Program Credits called Cookie Dough, which are awarded at the end of the program on a digital account number emailed to each family. Earners can spend their Cookie Dough on GSGI programs, camps, shop items, and even donate back to GSGI to help support the Girl Scout Mission. Girl Scouts can select either Cookie Dough or items at all reward levels, mixing and matching Cookie Dough with reward items! Base Cookie Dough has been replaced with Cookie Dough selections at each reward level. 

    Girl Scouts have until September 15, 2026, to use the Cookie Dough earned during the 2026 cookie program. For more information about Cookie Dough, please see the 2025–2026 Program Credit Policy.  

  • NEW THIS YEAR! We heard your feedback and have made exciting updates to our rewards to focus on what Girl Scouts truly want—more choices and flexibility! You’ll notice rewards are now a truly custom experience in every way—from Cookie Dough to reward items, a Girl Scout can choose everything.  

    Rewards are now separated into two sections—the Reward Panel and Reward Points. The Reward Panel contains cumulative rewards with choices at each level (2–7) for 48–408 packages sold. Girl Scouts who sell 508+ packages unlock Reward Points! Reward Points offer even more choice and flexibility to select rewards that work best for each Girl Scout. Details for both options are outlined below!

  • We know that Girl Scouts love experiences! Troop and Juliette experience rewards are earned based on Per-Girl-Averages (PGA), while individual experience rewards are earned by each Girl Scout once they receive designated amount of packages sold. These experience rewards are in addition to other selected rewards!

  • After reviewing member feedback, the Instant Rewards section of the Reward Panel has been retired. All rewards will be distributed after the program ends. 

  • GETTING REWARDS TO GIRL SCOUTS

We’ve heard your feedback about wanting to be a good steward of the Girl Scout dollar and save on shipping! This year, physical rewards will be available for early pickup. We’ll be reaching out to parents/guardians at the end of the cookie program to coordinate how their Girl Scouts would like to receive their rewards. Shipping will still be an option. Pickup rewards will be available before shipped rewards.

The Reward Panel is what you’re used to—cumulative rewards with choices for an item or Cookie Dough at each level (2–7) for Girl Scouts who sell 48–408 packages. (Psst, you can see pictures of the items on the print or digital version of the Rewards Document!)

  • LEVEL 1 (12+ PACKAGES): 2026 Theme Patch 

  • LEVEL 2 (48+ PACKAGES): Fidget or $5 Cookie Dough 

  • LEVEL 3 (108+ PACKAGES): Necklace + Charm from CharmIt or $10 Cookie Dough 

  • LEVEL 4 (180+ PACKAGES): Magnetic Shoulder Plush or $15 Cookie Dough 

  • LEVEL 5 (264+ PACKAGES): Wall Collage or $20 Cookie Dough 

  • LEVEL 6 (336+ PACKAGES): Water Bottle + GSGI T-Shirt (design coming soon!) or $30 Cookie Dough

  • NEW THIS YEAR (508+ PACKAGES): Unlock Reward Points at 508+ packages sold—you can spend these points on awesome rewards and experiences, detailed below!

  • Reward Panel selections are submitted in the Reward Order, due March 30, by the cookie volunteer in Smart Cookies. Girl Scouts should communicate their Reward Panel selections to the cookie volunteers. They can do this through Digital Cookie, however, it doesn't automatically carry over to Smart Cookies and the cookie volunteer will still need to make the selection in Smart Cookies. 

    Psst! If a Girl Scout chooses to opt out of front page of the Reward Panel to earn 2 Reward Points (at 408+ packages), you will need to indicate this in Smart Cookies. Under My Troop > Troop Roster, you will see an "edit" button to the right of each Girl Scout's name. From there, you can edit her recognition plan (Main Rewards Cumulative up to 408 is for the physical items on the front page, while Girl Opt Out is for additional reward points.) Be sure to click "Save"!

At 508+ packages, Girl Scouts earn the number of Reward Points based on the number of packages they sell. Points can be mixed and matched to choose items from any level (e.g., earning four Reward Points means a Girl Scout can select one item worth four points, two items worth two points each, or four items worth one point each). Each Reward Point level has multiple reward options to choose from. Reward Points are NOT cumulative. Girl Scouts can individually opt-out of cumulative rewards (level 2 through level 7 of the Reward Panel) for an additional two Reward Points. 

  • Parents/Guardians of Girl Scouts who sell 508+ packages (1 RP or higher) will be contacted via email the week of April 6 to choose how they want to spend their rewards. The deadline for choice selection is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. Anyone who doesn't respond by the deadline will have rewards defaulted to Cookie Dough. There will be no exceptions due to tight timelines for securing the rewards for quick delivery. 

  • Are you planning to earn camp as a cookie reward? We strongly encourage you to hold a spot by registering and paying the deposit when camp registrations open. We expect most camps to fill quickly (especially Horse Camps!) Deposits will be refunded when Cookie Rewards are confirmed.

    Note: Deposits will only be refunded for an earned session. Families can’t hold more than one spot for 1 earned session and ask for all deposits to be refunded.

    🌲 Day Camp Experience

    • Day camp is great for first-time campers! Camp Sacajawea and Camp Tanglefoot offer day camp sessions where Girl Scouts get to come to camp without their parents/guardians, but don’t spend the night! They’re grouped with other day campers and have fun making new friends. Like other types of camp sessions, day camps have themes for the day but also enjoy classic camp activities.  

    • All camp experiences are your choice of available GSGI camp sessions within that category.

    • Age level: Must be going into 6th grade in the summer of 2027  

    • Chaperones are not required but may register. Cost is $1499. Must be a registered Girl Scout volunteer.     

    • Total capacity is 48 travelers.

  • 🗺️ $1500 International Travel Credit 

    • Pack your bags and let’s see the world we’re changing! Travel with GSGI and EF Tours to Europe in 2027 or 2028. 

      • Valid toward 2027 Europe Mediterranean Coast Trip or 2028 Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland Trip. 

    • Travel Program is for Girl Scouts who have completed grades 5-12 at the time of travel. They may attend on their own or with an adult, as adult support will be provided.

We know that Girl Scouts love experiences! Based on per-girl-averages, cookie entrepreneurs can have a muddy challenge, enjoy a Trampoline or Waterpark adventure, or encase themselves into large bubble. And don’t miss out on a Movie Party with GSGI! 

All experiences include free admission for each Girl Scout who participates in the 2026 cookie program, plus free admission for each chaperone (in accordance with the Safety Activity Checkpoint ratio). Earners will receive communications via email after the conclusion of the cookie program with details on how to register. More specific communications timelines will be shared in the weekly Shout Out! newsletter.

    • 235+ PGA  

    • Get muddy and show your strength navigating the obstacles at Camp Sacajawea! The Gimme S’more Mud Run has two courses so participants of all ages and skill levels can join in on the fun. 

    • 385+ PGA  

    • Free admission to one of the select Trampoline or Waterpark locations listed on The Bridge. If that date or activity doesn’t work, you can select the Giant Bubble Kit to make the most amazing (and giant) bubbles you’ve ever seen!  

    • 500+ PGA 

    • Admission to the GSGI movie party screening of Toy Story 5!

  • New reward addition! Any troop who sells at least 100 Cookie Share packages combined will have their troop members entered into a drawing for a spot at the CEO Game Show.

    One entry per troop member who is selling cookies; spots awarded to individual Girl Scouts only, not to the entire troop.

  • INDIVIDUAL EARNED EXPERIENCES

Individual experiences are earned by each Girl Scout once they reach the amount of packages sold. Girl Scouts who opt out of levels 2-7 of the Reward Panel for additional Reward Points or Proceeds still receive these experiences!  

Earners will receive communications via email after the conclusion of the cookie program with additional details on how to redeem. More specific communications timelines will be shared in the weekly Shout Out! newsletter.

  • Girl Scouts from all over Iowa will come to Adventureland.  Girl Scouts who reach 700 packages will automatically earn two tickets to enjoy the day! If that date doesn’t work, you can select a Build-a-Bear experience option at one of our GSGI leadership centers!

  • Super sellers get to join GSGI CEO Beth Shelton at Camp Sacajawea for an exclusive Glow Stick Swim Party! Swim under the lights, enjoy special treats, and hang out with Beth in this once-a-year celebration just for our top sellers. 

  • New reward addition! Girl Scouts who sell 50 Cookie Shares throughout the season will now earn 1 Reward Point!
